After finishing graduate school at OU, Debi took her English literature degree and began teaching...drama. "I only planned to teach for three years or until I burned out." Twenty five years later...Debi found herself living in Dallas and teaching at a wonderful high school and performing in stage productions and commercials, with a few spatterings of film credits. She went on a fluke trip to Los Angeles and made new friends who convinced her to move to California. In 2003, she sold her house, bid fond farewell to public education and moved to the San Fernando Valley (the bedroom of Los Angeles!) where she has been living and thriving ever since. "Starting a new chapter at this age is remarkable. The entertainment industry is filled with possibility. Rejection is just part of the process. The fun of the adventure is what it's all about." While in LA, Debi has starred in a music video with Rachel Leigh Cook (She's All That) and made good connections whie working on Benchwarmers with Happy Madison Productions (Adam Sandler's company) as well as forming solid professional relationships. She just finished three screenplays, each with a separate production team. "The sky is the limit, and you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Shoot for the moon.
Even if you miss, at least you'll land among the stars."
